We are pleased to announce a $4.5 million whistleblower award payment for our clients from the December 2024 $15 million False Claims Act settlement against former physician Mohammad Rasekhi, Sheila Busheri, and Southern California Medical Center. The award recognizes our clients' courage in exposing a multi-million dollar Medicare and Medi-Cal fraud scheme involving kickbacks, illegal referrals, and the diversion of free child vaccines -- intended for needy children -- but used instead to inoculate adult Medicare patients.

We took the extraordinary step of filing a Motion for Immediate Payment of Minimum Relators' Share. On July 9, 2025 the Honorable Hernán Vera granted our Motion in a first-of-its-kind Order.

Soon thereafter the United States paid the entire share.
